Hello. This is Josh.

It has been so long since I have been on Tribe, and its been so long since someone has written in this old tribe. I am knocking off the dust of this tribe, and saying hello.

As you all know, or at least have heard, Steven dances with Atash Maya in SD. Since he left, Annie and I have lost our inspiration. I feel like a beginner when we try to create a dance. I dont have any ideas, and it sucks!!!

I havent even been to a dance show in SOOO long. I think the last REAL show I went to was HoF 05. That was a long time ago. suckie. Get us dancing again! We really want to, but we are stuck in this uncultured town!

I miss you guys, and I hope to see you soon!

hey everyone... it's ashley, so few of you even know who i am, i dont really come here at all... lol. umm, i used to be in isidis before they got good. lol. i dont think i ever said it before, but i really am proud of everything isidis has accomplished and how far they've gotten. and as much as i miss dancing (which is pretty much every minute of every day) i know that they have gotten so much further than they ever could have with me in the troupe. i've finally come to terms with it, and congrats isidis. i love you guys a lot! and i miss you steven! come back and visit. cant wait to see the video guys.

I would like to take time to tell my fellow Isidisians that I am so proud of us. We have come from black to white IN LESS THAN A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! That has to mean somthing, right?

By the way, we won Hips of Fury in the Ultimate Troupe category. We recieved a check for 100 dollars, Thanks to Faizeh Productions, and we performed in the evening sow with Dance Gods such as Devadasi, Domba!, Princess Farhana...ya know, all the cool people, THEN, to put the cherry on this dissert we call Bellydance, we get to shoot a bellydance video in LA!!! woot woot!

So I hope that we can spend more years together making such beautiful art through dance! We should be proud...we deserve it!

*and if I dont get my 3rd of that 100 bucks, I'm taking it all back!*

Its almost been a year since we started Isidis...wow, it really dosent seem like its been that long! I love looking at the way we used to be, and the way we are now. We have changed so dramatically, and its awesome! I really didnt think the whole thing would work, but I have been proven wrong!

Very Awkward Performance

O.K.... tonight we danced at our school's yearbook extravaganza. All the jocks, cheerleaders, and "popular" kids were there... They we just staring at us, yelling not nice things...and it was very weird. I'm glad that i never have to see those people again, once i graduate. But anyway i just dont think any of them have been exposed to anything like we do. But on a better note. Next week is Cairo and all the people that matter will be there. I can't wait to see you all.. Rock, Paper, Sissors

I understand Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no way Paper can beat Rock.

Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock leaving it immobile? Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do it to people? Why aren't sheets of college-ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class?

I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody, a rock would tear that sh*t up in 2 seconds. When I play rock/paper/scissors I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say "Oh sh*t I'm sorry I thought Paper would protect you.

*Sigh* What is this world coming to?!

Hello. I'm Lucy. Still really new in the Belly dance scene. I saw you guys perform a few times. I have been to quite a few shows and I couldn't help but notice that there used to be this other girl with you. She was only there for a while. I thought maybe it was my imagination, but I was looking through the pictures you have and saw her again. Does she still dance with you and is just taking a break? If you don't mind me asking. The thing is that I was going to try starting a group with some friends of mine that love dance as well. I just wanted to know if that's why she is not with you. I do not want anything to come between our friendship. You know what I mean? I hope this all makes sence.

drum circle at leroy jackson park!

hey steven & josh,

i know you've been informed but just a reminder in writing: drum circle at 4 p.m. (i better check that for sure!), friday, july 8, at leroy jackson park.

not sure how this will go. i don't want it to be drum LESSONS, although i know we'll have to introduce dum-tek-ka. but i think we should pick a rhythm, say the dum-tek-ka part of it and then start jammin'.

some of these are kim's friends whom she tried to do drumming with on the solstice. they just beat the drums with reckless abandon. they didn't seem interested in learning the beat, so i asked her if they would be interested during the drum circle. cuz if not, they should do their thing some other time so we can bang on our drums beautifully!
