Yeah, I know. I worked in Victorville for almost 15 years, before the great population explosion! I couldn't wait to get out of there! Every Friday night for almost a year I would drive to San Diego from Victorville. (My best friend at the time lived in San Diego.) Even though I've spent a LOT of time in the desert, including a few years in Tucson, I am just not a desert kind of girl. LOL!
Phelan is still a metropolis compaired to Ridgecrest, though! No, really it is! -

My hubby and I wanna move somewhere that isn't growing...track housing isn't springing up everywhere, etc etc... we LOVE the rural life. Any suggestions? Some people have said a Texas Ranch or Montana or something like that....I'm just too darn scared to move outta so cal... -

The traffic is horrendous, crime is getting worse, there's people EVERYWHERE, houses are springing up everywhere....I miss the old days! I've been in Phelan my entire life (minus one year in Texas) so it's really disappointing....I see all the for sale signs on the large acreage lots and I just think...someday that will be a movie theater or a mall or a walmart or more houses with more people which need more stores and lead to more traffic....*shudders* So let's all move together! Lol
